Marking the first feature film from award-winning screenwriter CJ Barnes, A Boy Named Petyr is a co-production with Brisbane-based In Three Production.
The film follows Killian Jones, a Queensland police sergeant in the Outback mining town of Kirriemuir, as he investigates the mysterious disappearances of several locals, including two children. What he uncovers is far more deadly and terrifying than he could imagine. Along with his constable Sam and clued-in teenager Wendy, Jones has a race against time to save his small town before the sun sets and it's consumed by darkness.
Set to be directed by Luke Wheatley and produced by CJ Barnes, Kristy Griggs, and Beckie Adams, A Boy Named Petyr will begin filming in early 2023.
